The casinos around Coquitlam
Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, at 2080 United Boulevard, is the one this flyer covers. For a change of scene, these other Metro Vancouver casinos are within reach.
This flyer does not publish distances or drive times. Check a map or plan your route before you go.
- Grand Villa Casino, in Burnaby.
- Starlight Casino, in New Westminster.
- Hastings Casino, in Vancouver.
- Elements Casino, in Surrey.
- Cascades Casino Langley, in Langley.
- Parq Casino, in downtown Vancouver.
- River Rock Casino Resort, in Richmond.
- Cascades Casino Delta, in Delta.
Each entry is just a name and a city, on purpose. The flyer only prints details it can check against an official source. It has not gathered those details for these venues yet. Each casino publishes its own hours, games and dining. You can read more about that approach on how the flyer is made.
Same rules at every door
The casino changes, but the basics stay the same across the province.
- 19 and older. BCLC says all players must be 19 or older to gamble at BCLC facilities.
- Photo ID for everyone. Since June 26, 2023, every guest must show government-issued photo ID to enter a BC casino. Bring the original document, because photos and copies are not accepted. The accepted ID list is on BCLC's casino site.
- One provincial operator. BCLC runs all commercial gambling in BC on behalf of the provincial government. Since April 13, 2026, the Independent Gambling Control Office (IGCO) has been the regulator. It replaced the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.
- No smoking or vaping indoors. Provincial law bans both in indoor public places and workplaces, and that includes casinos.
- GameSense on site. Every BC casino has a GameSense Info Centre on or near the gaming floor, with GameSense Advisors on staff.
The provincial cash rules also apply everywhere. Casinos check the ID of anyone whose buy-ins or payouts reach $3,000 or more in a day. Cash buy-ins totalling $10,000 or more in 24 hours need a source-of-funds declaration.
Check before you head out
Hours differ from venue to venue, and they can change around holidays. Before a trip, look at the casino's own website.
For Great Canadian Casino Vancouver, the This week page has the planner with open and closed status. The casino page covers the floor, dining and parking.
If you are new to casinos in general, the first visit page walks through the door, the floor and the basics. If a show is on at The Show Theatre, see theatre nights and allow a little extra time on United Boulevard.
A note on Game Break
Game Break is BCLC's voluntary self-exclusion program. BCLC's April 2025 fact sheet says it covers PlayNow and all BC gambling facilities, wherever you enrol. A different casino down the highway is not a way around it.
If moving from one casino to another has started to feel like a pattern, it is fine to talk to someone. Gambling Support BC is free and open 24/7 at 1-888-795-6111. More options are on the gambling support page.
