Cascades Langley for Coquitlam visitors

Cascades Casino Langley is a 24-hour casino in Langley City with a big slot floor, a small poker room, bingo four days a week and a hotel next door. Here is how it stacks up against United Boulevard.

The casino in a few lines

Cascades Casino Langley sits at 20393 Fraser Highway in Langley City. It is about 18.8 km from the United Boulevard casino as the crow flies, and 22.1 km from Coquitlam City Centre.

Gateway Casinos & Entertainment runs it, and has since it was built in 2005. The casino says it is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. The main line is 604-530-2211, and the official site, cascadescasino.ca, has the latest details.

Getting in

Same rules as every casino in BC. You must be 19 or older, and everyone shows government-issued photo ID at the door, whatever their age. Bring the original card, not a photo or a copy. A driver's licence, BC Services Card, BCID or passport all work.

Security scans the ID and checks it against the list of people barred from entry, including Game Break enrollees. BCLC says it keeps no personal information for people who are let in.

Two house rules worth knowing: the casino's code of conduct says staff may ask for ID at any time during a visit, and unauthorized photography, filming and live streaming are not permitted.

On the floor

  • Slots: more than 1,000 machines, including the Crystal Room for higher-stakes slot play.
  • Live tables: 28 of them. The list includes blackjack (with double deck and free bet versions), baccarat and squeeze baccarat, roulette, Ultimate Texas Hold'em, Four Card Poker and Mississippi Stud, plus electronic roulette and baccarat.
  • Poker: a six-table room that opens at 9 AM daily. It runs 1/3 no limit seven days a week and 5/5 no limit on Fridays and Saturdays. Poker desk: 604-539-4456.
  • Bingo: paper and electronic bingo, Thursday to Sunday, two sessions a day. The casino's own pages list different session times, so call the bingo line at 604-539-4445 before heading out.

The rewards card is Encore Rewards, the same program used on United Boulevard. Joining is free at Guest Services with valid ID.

Food, drink and the rest

Dining on site includes ATLAS STEAK + FISH, MATCH Eatery & Public House, Glacier Bar, a Sunday Brunch Buffet and My Club Eat & Drink. The Breakfast Room runs Sunday to Friday 6 AM to 11 AM and Saturday 6 AM to noon. For other hours, check with the casino.

The adjoining Coast Langley City Hotel & Convention Centre had 77 rooms according to Gateway's 2018 release. The hotel says it has no swimming pool. Reservations: 604-530-1500. The venue also lists Spa Tru, a medical spa, and more than 26,000 sq ft of meeting space, with a ballroom that seats up to 650 theatre-style.

There is no show theatre. The 420-seat Summit Theatre closed in early 2018 to make way for the bingo hall.

The casino says the facility is accessible, with wheelchairs, accessible formats and communication supports available on request.

Before you go

For the route from Coquitlam, TransLink's trip planner or a map app will sort it out. The Langley Centre bus exchange is right beside the casino, roughly 130 to 190 m in a straight line.

SkyTrain is coming, but not yet. The Surrey Langley extension is under construction, and its terminus, Langley City Centre Station at 203 St. and Industrial Ave, is not open. The province's current target is late 2029.

Smoking and vaping are banned inside all BC casinos, and within 6 metres of doors, windows and air intakes.

Set a budget before you leave home. Every BC casino has a GameSense Info Centre with staff on hand. Gambling Support BC is free and open 24/7 at 1-888-795-6111, and there is more on our gambling support page.
